Sandwiches?

If you’re looking for a roll for your sandwich, our Sandwich Rolls are the obvious choice. They’ve got plenty of surface area for all your sandwich toppings. If you’re looking for a smaller size sandwich roll for a lunch or appetizer, check out our Slider Rolls! There are also a couple of options if you’d prefer a smaller tea-sandwich size—both our Dinner Rolls or Party Rolls would be great (just remember that neither comes pre-sliced).

If you’d prefer sliced bread for your sandwich, you can’t go wrong with our standard Potato Bread. However, the Butter Bread is also a delicious choice, particularly for grilled sandwiches due to its buttery taste. Additionally, if you’re looking to add more grains to your diet, then our 100% Whole Wheat Potato Bread is the way to go. Our wheat bread is remarkably soft, making it a satisfying and healthy alternative. (If you’re looking for a more interesting and sweet addition to your sandwich, try any of our swirl breads! They complement both savory and sweet toppings perfectly!)

To decide on which hamburger bun to use, first think about the size of the burger, chicken patty, veggie burger, etc. If your protein is about 4oz, our Sandwich Rolls will be perfect. If you’re cooking up more than 4oz for one burger/sandwich, reach for our Big Marty’s Rolls. If you’re looking to make a slider with about 3oz of meat or another protein, our Slider Rolls are probably your best bet. Got something less than 3oz? Keep reading for our slider section below.

Sliders?

Martin’s has a bun for just about any size slider. Our Slider Rolls are perfect for about a 3oz protein, like turkey burgers, hamburgers, or veggie burgers. The Dinner Rolls can hold about the same or slightly smaller protein. And, if you’re looking for a bite-size slider, reach for our Party Potato Rolls. Just remember that the Dinner Rolls and Party Rolls do not come pre-sliced.

*Note: Martin’s 100% Whole Wheat 12-Sliced (Slider) Potato Rolls have been discontinued. We recommend substituting these with our regular Slider Potato Rolls, or with our 100% Whole Wheat Potato Bread.

Barbecues and Grilling?

If you’re grilling up some burgers or sliders, refer to those sections above. If you’re making pulled pork, ribs, or another saucy barbecue meat, you’re probably going to want to choose a larger bun, like our Big Marty’s or Sandwich Rolls to have enough room for plenty of meat and sauce. And, of course, if you’re making hot dogs or sausages, our Long Rolls are the perfect choice.

If you’re hosting a barbecue, you might want to try making your own Hot Dog Bar or Hamburger Bar, so each guest can choose the roll they prefer.

Hot Dogs/Subs/Long Sandwiches?

We have two great options for long subs and sandwiches: our Long Potato Rolls and our Hoagie Rolls. When choosing between the two, keep in mind that the Long Potato Rolls are about 2 ½ inches shorter, so if you’re looking for a hefty sandwich, try the Hoagie Rolls. Also, the Long Potato Rolls are made out of our classic potato dough, while the Hoagie Rolls are a white dough, so it might just come down to your preference!

Breakfast?

Okay, we admit, this is a little bit of a trick question, because basically any of the Martin’s products can be used for breakfast in one way or another! First things first, our swirl breads make a perfect companion to any breakfast dish just with some toasting and buttering. But they also make great French toast! Any of the regular sandwich breads can also be used for French toast, breakfast casseroles, or breakfast sandwiches.

As far as rolls go, any product can be used to make a delicious breakfast sandwich or breakfast boat (which you could even make ahead of time and freeze for later). If you need some recipe inspiration, try these Hoagie Breakfast Boats or these Stuffed Breakfast Sliders.

Dinner Parties?

While just about all of our products could find a place at a dinner party, there are a few that work particularly well. First up is the most obvious choice, our Dinner Rolls. They’re perfect as a side just the way they are or with an upgrade like this Cranberry-Orange Dinner Roll Glaze.

Our Party Rolls can be used in a similar way, but they also make great vessels for appetizer sandwiches, like these Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders. You could even flatten the rolls to make this Shrimp Flatbread!

Potato Dough

The majority of our products are made from our classic potato dough, which is essentially a combination of potato flour and wheat flour mixed with the rest of the dough ingredients (milk, sugar, yeast, etc.). It’s also important to note that we use all high-quality ingredients in all of our bread and roll products: high-protein wheat flour, real milk, and real butter. The result is a plush, slightly-sweet bread or roll that compliments both savory and sweet toppings!

FAQ: Are Martin’s Potato Bread and Rolls gluten free? No. Since our bread and rolls are made with both potato flour and wheat flour, they are not gluten free.

White Dough

Whole Wheat Potato Dough
