As a family-run business with two baking facilities, one in Chambersburg, PA, and another in Valdosta, GA, our local towns and surrounding communities are very important to us. Martin’s employs several-hundred employees between these two locations, so we want to be sure that we are supporting the communities where our employees live and work.
Being part of a local community is an important experience for individuals and families alike. It is critical that people have the chance to find a sense of belonging and to build healthy relationships with others with whom they can grow and learn together. That’s why we’re grateful for the local businesses, social and recreational clubs, and community development organizations that help to make our towns a safe and inviting space.
We find both joy and purpose in being involved with our community through sponsoring and participating in local events, donating to worthy causes, providing career opportunities, and simply spreading goodwill.
Here are a few of local events we have recently participated in:
Since 2012, the Franklin County Truck Convoy has taken place in Greencastle, PA, and is organized by Make-A-Wish volunteers. Over the past twelve years, Martin’s has participated in the convoy, helping to raise $499,324.07 for the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia Make-A-Wish Chapter. This year, we proudly drove three trucks in the convoy.
Martin’s partnered with Habitat for Humanity in Franklin County, PA and the Help Build Hope program to support local affordable housing in Franklin County, PA. Demonstrating our ongoing commitment to community impact, our team hauled and delivered three fully framed residential wall packages—built in a single afternoon by nearly 1,000 youth volunteers—from Millersville University in Lancaster to Shippensburg. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to play a role in building hope and stronger homes for our neighbors.
Each year, Martin’s sponsors a Martin’s Potato Rolls-themed ice sculpture as part of IceFest, a fundraiser for three local organizations: Council for the Arts, Downtown Business Council, and Downtown Chambersburg Inc.
Martin’s started the holiday season participating in the 55th Annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Chambersburg. Martin’s employees, their families, and Frannie rode in a lit covered – wagon pulled by a Martin’s delivery van!
Martin’s helped celebrate the Annual Festival of Trees held by the Franklin County Visitors Bureau. This year, the tree harmonizes with the event’s music theme, featuring ornaments representing Christian hymns such as; Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, Joy to the World, and O Little Town of Bethlehem! The event concluded with a silent auction on December 6. All proceeds from the voting and the auction went to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance.
During Old Home Week, a longstanding community celebration since 1902, we joined the parade to kick off a week of events including tours, reunions, concerts, and family-friendly entertainment.
At the 2025 Franklin County Fair, an annual celebration of agriculture, community, and family fun, Martin’s products were featured as the bun of choice for burgers and hot dogs at the fair’s food vendors. The event is known for livestock shows, crafts, contests, and food!
Each year, Martin’s sponsors a Martin’s Potato Rolls-themed ice sculpture as part of IceFest, a fundraiser for three local organizations: Council for the Arts, Downtown Business Council, and Downtown Chambersburg Inc.
Martin’s proudly sponsored the Martin’s Potato Roll Drop, drawing hundreds of locals who watched a big pack of Martin’s Sandwich Potato Rolls glide down from the sky to ring in the New Year. The on-site Martin’s team welcomed guests and handed out branded swag.

Martin’s kicked off the holiday season riding in the 54th Annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Chambersburg. Martin’s employees and their families rode in a wagon pulled by one of our delivery vans, and Frannie made an appearance riding in a delivery truck!
Congratulations to Valdosta Bakery for receiving Corporation of the Year from the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce. Martin’s was named Corporation of the 1st Quarter earlier this year by the same Chamber. At the 2024 Annual Awards on February 15, Dan Banks accepted the award on Martin’s behalf, noting that we are family-owned since 1955, helped pioneer the potato roll category, and now ship to more than 50 countries — a testament to our community, dedicated employees, and commitment to quality.

Martin’s donated rolls to the Annual Christmas Dinner Kit giveaway in Eddystone, PA, hosted by the Eddystone Fire Company No. 1 with Cocco’s Container Service, in partnership with Collins Family Markets (Shoprite).

The 53rd Annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Chambersburg was a great way to kick off the holiday season. A Martin’s wagon filled with members of our employee family participated in the parade and interacted with the community as they rode by.

Over 40 Martin’s employees and their families braved the cold and rode and walked alongside the Martin’s Potato Rolls wagon, which was playing Martin’s theme song, The Taste is Golden! Parade goers could scan a QR code sign in order to sign up to win prizes from Martin’s!
The Martin’s marketing team decorated this year’s tree in gold and light blue hues to represent Martin’s two newest products, Sweet Dinner Potato Rolls and Sweet Party Potato Rolls! Martin’s tree, along with the other 50 decorated trees and 18 wreaths, were auctioned off to raise more than $6,250 for the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance (CVBCA).
Over 30 Martin’s employees and their families rode and walked alongside the Martin’s Potato Rolls wagon while handing out sample packs of Martin’s Big Marty’s Rolls to the local crowd!
