About Martin’s Sweet Dinner Potato Rolls
Martin’s Sweet Dinner Potato Rolls were created with one goal in mind: to bring a touch of sweetness to one of our most beloved products. In response to changing flavor trends and growing demand for sweet rolls, we updated our original dinner roll recipe in Fall 2022 to give it a slightly sweeter taste, while keeping the soft, pillowy texture and high-quality ingredients you know and love.
Unlike many of our other roll varieties, the Sweet Dinner and Sweet Party Potato Rolls are made from a different base dough created specifically for this sweeter flavor profile. While they still share the same great texture, they stand apart in taste from products like our Sandwich Rolls or Slider Rolls, which use the original Martin’s Potato Roll recipe.
That said, when it comes to size and usage, Sweet Dinner Potato Rolls are most commonly compared to our Slider Potato Rolls and Sweet Party Potato Rolls. All three are slider-sized and incredibly versatile, but there are some key differences to keep in mind:
- Sweet Party Potato Rolls: About 2 inches in diameter, unsliced, made with the sweet dough
- Sweet Dinner Potato Rolls: About 2.5 inches in diameter, unsliced, made with the sweet dough
