2 Pounds Ground Beef
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/2 Cup Pico de Gallo, (or to taste)
2 Small Avocados, thinly sliced
4 Martin's Sandwich Potato Rolls, toasted
2 Tablespoons Sour Cream (or to taste)
Sliced Jalapeños
Chopped Fresh Cilantro
Crumbled Tortilla Chips
Sliced Red Onions
Serves: 4
Directions
Step 1
Make pico de gallo.
Step 2
Mix the beef, spices and seasoning together in a bowl and shape into 4 burgers.
Step 3
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil. Place each burger in the skillet to sear for at least 2 minutes before flipping it on the other side.
Step 4
Let each flipped burger sear for another 2 minutes, then lower the heat and cover the skillet for 2 more minutes until the burgers are cooked through.
Step 5
Place about a ¼ cup of shredded cheese over each burger, turn off the heat and cover the skillet again for the cheese to fully melt.
Step 6
Spread a layer of sour cream on the toasted bread, a teaspoon of pico de gallo and top with the burgers, more pico de gallo, sliced avocados, sliced jalapeño, fresh cilantro, sliced red onion, tortilla chips, and any additional toppings.
