Classic Burger Sliders

35 Mins

Ingredients

12 Martin’s Sweet Dinner Rolls

1 Pound Ground Beef

2 Large Yellow Onions, finely chopped

1/3 Cup Dehydrated Onions

¼ Cup Water

12 Slices American Cheese (optional)

Dill Pickle Chips

Ketchup, to taste

Mustard, to taste

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

Serves: 4-6

Directions

Step 1

Flatten ground beef in a 9 x 13 baking pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Cut into 12 even squares.

Step 2

Using a straw, the end of a chopstick, or a similar tool, create five holes in each patty. Set aside.

Step 3

Place ½ the chopped onions, dehydrated onions, and water in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Add remaining chopped onions. Spread onions evenly, covering the bottom of the pan. Arrange burger patties in a single layer over the onions.

Note: if you can’t cook all the patties at once, reserve half of the cooked onions to cook second half of patties.

Step 5

Cover the pan and allow patties to steam until tops look cooked. Add small amounts of water to pan if needed.

Step 6

To steam the rolls, top each cooked patty with top halves of Martin’s Sweet Dinner Rolls. Put bottom bun atop the top bun, cut side down. Allow buns to steam until warm.

Step 7

To remove from pan, pick up bottom bun, slide a flat spatula under a patty to pick it up—onions, top bun, and all—and place spatula on lower buns to carefully slide burger onto the lower bun. Repeat with the remaining sliders.
