Eggnog French Toast Sticks

6 Slices Martins Potato Bread

1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar

1 Tablespoon Cinnamon

1 Cup Eggnog

3 Eggs, whisked

2 Tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar

1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

1/4 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg


Serves: 6


Step 1

Heat griddle or skillet to medium heat.

Step 2

Slice bread into 1” strips.

Step 3

Whisk together granulated sugar and cinnamon, set aside.

Step 4

Whisk together eggnog, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg

Step 5

Melt a tablespoon of butter in skillet (enough to coat the bottom of the pan).

Step 6

Dip each strip of bread in the eggnog mixture, then quickly add to the skillet. Don’t let the bread soak or the french toast sticks will end up soggy.

Step 7

Cook until golden brown, about 30 seconds to 1 minute per side. Add more butter to skillet if necessary.

Step 8

Immediately after the french toast sticks are removed from skillet, coat each stick with cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Step 9

Repeat steps 5-­8 with remaining strips of bread.
