Holiday Food Service Highlight

December 6, 2021
4 min. read

If you haven’t noticed, here at Martin’s, we love talking about all of the amazing and delicious accomplishments of our food service customers—restaurants, food trucks, pop-ups, and more (see examples here and here). And why wouldn’t we? All year long, they put in time and effort to create some of the most mouthwatering and showstopping dishes on Martin’s Potato Rolls.

Recently, you’ve probably been noticing menu changes and limited time themed items from your favorite restaurants, from appetizers to desserts. So, since “’tis the season,” we wanted to share a few of our favorites with you, right from the kitchens of Martin’s Potato Rolls and Bread customers.

Limited Time Holiday Menu Items

One of the most common ways for restaurants and food service businesses to celebrate and commemorate the holidays for their customers is by spicing up their menu with seasonal flavors like pumpkin, cranberry, peppermint, cinnamon, sage, and rosemary. And our chef partners have certainly whipped up some creative options for their consumers this year.

Check out a few of our favorites!

Thanksgiving Sandwich from Lantern Bar & Grill

Thanksgiving Sandwich Lantern Bar Grill

Turkey, stuffing, cranberry, and rosemary all on a Big Marty’s roll? We’ll take two. This is an excellent picture of holiday creativity by our talented chef friends. If you’re located near Pittsfield, Massachusetts, take a visit to Lantern for us (and let us know what they come up with for Christmas!)

Thanksgiving Burger, Sage Potato Roll Stuffing, and Seasonal Shakes from Black Tap

This photo hardly needs a caption to describe the tasty flavors of Black Tap’s holiday options—a pumpkin cheesecake crazyshake and a Thanksgiving turkey burger topped with sage potato roll stuffing, bacon, corn, and cranberry-orange aioli. Needless to say, if you’re in the area of one of Black Tap’s many locations, it may be worthwhile to stop by and see what they have in store for the upcoming holidays, too!

Holiday Burger from Burger Drops

Canada fans, this one’s for you! Located in Toronto, Burger Drops is widely known for their delicious smash burgers on Martin’s Potato Rolls. But, they can also whip up a mean seasonal burger, like this one filled with cracked black pepper, truffle mayo, Swiss cheese, and pickled red onion!

P.S. This year, they’ve got a new Caramel Cookie pudding—available only during the holiday season!

Holiday Shakes from Shake Shack

True to its name, Shake Shack is famous for delicious and seasonal milkshakes, like the ones shown above. If you’re near one of many Shake Shack locations worldwide, be sure to try these mouthwatering holiday flavors, like Sugar Plum Fairy, and try pairing it with the current limited edition Black Truffle Burger!

Prime Rib Sliders and Peppermint Bark Shakes from SOB Sliders

This stacked slider from SOB Sliders is bougie on a bun—thin-sliced prime rib piled on a bed of greens, plus fried onions and horseradish aioli, all on a Martin’s Potato Roll. Bonus tip: pair it with a seasonal peppermint bark shake!

Christmas Burger and Shakes from Craftsman Row Saloon

As the headline of this article clearly states, Craftsman Row is serving up all the holiday vibes at their annual Christmas pop-up in Philadelphia! Snag a festive milkshake, like the “Ugly Sweater” or the “Pumpkin to Talk About” and pair it with one of their delicious smash burgers or chicken sandwiches—what could be better?

Holiday Deliciousness To-Go

Can’t make it into the restaurant during this busy season? No worries! Many of our customers are offering takeout or boxed options that you can bring home and incorporate into your holiday eating. Brisket and Martin’s Butter Bread for Christmas? Why not! Smash burgers on Martin’s Potato Rolls for New Year’s Eve? Sure! Gift card to a great local restaurant in your stocking? Best. Present. Ever.

If you live in the South, Jim N Nicks is a great takeout option for your holiday food needs! In the North, try Pig Beach NYC! Above, you can see all of the tasty options they had available for Thanksgiving! Check out and order to-go sides and meals for the upcoming holidays at www.jimnnicks.com and www.pigbeachnyc.com/preorder.

A Note about Restaurants this Holiday Season

The last two years have been tough for restaurants and food service businesses around the globe. Many professional and experienced chefs, pit masters, and burger experts had to adapt their tried and true business models to fit the needs of their customers amidst the pandemic.

So, in the spirit of supporting small business this holiday season, go visit your favorite local restaurant (bonus points if they serve Martin’s Potato Rolls) and find out how you can support their business this year. Happy holiday eating!
