Ham and Cheese French Toast Casserole

35 Mins

Ingredients

6 Tablespoons Butter, divided, plus more for greasing

12 Slices Martin’s Cinnamon-Raisin Swirl Potato Bread

1 Pound Thinly-Sliced Ham

6 Slices American Cheese

3 Eggs

1 Cup Half-and-Half

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar, packed

1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

1 Teaspoon Fresh Rosemary, finely chopped

1 Pinch Kosher Salt

Serves: 6

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13″ baking dish with some butter and set aside.

Step 2

Arrange 6 slices of Cinnamon-Raisin Swirl Potato Bread along the bottom of the baking dish.

Step 3

Top each slice of bread with ham and a slice of American cheese. Top with remaining 6 slices of bread to form sandwiches.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, half & half, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, rosemary, and a pinch of salt. Pour mixture over casserole and lightly press with your finger tips to ensure all the bread is soaked with the mixture.

Step 5

Place a pat of butter on top of each sandwich.

Step 6

Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes or until the egg is cooked and the cheese is melted. Let cool for 5-10 minutes until firm enough to handle. Serve warm.
