Butter BreadIngredients
4 Tablespoons + 2 Tablespoons Butter, room temperature
2 Large Yellow Onions, thinly sliced
2 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt
1 Tablespoon Fresh Sage, chopped
2 Ounces Brie Cheese, cubed
4 Slices Martin’s Potato Bread or Real Old-Fashioned Butter Bread
4 Ounces Cheddar Cheese, finely shredded
1 Granny Smith Apple, thinly sliced

Directions
Step 1
Heat 4 tablespoons unsalted butter in skillet over medium heat. Add onions and salt and stir occasionally. Add 3 tablespoons of water and cover for 3-5 minutes. Continue to cook, stirring every few minutes for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden.
Step 2
Prepare other ingredients: Combine sage with 2 tablespoons of butter and generous pinch of salt. Remove rind from brie cheese and slice into ½-inch cubes.
Step 3
To assemble, spread sage butter on one slice of bread. Then, buttered side down, top with brie cheese, then cheddar cheese, then apples in a single layer slightly overlapping, then ¼ cup caramelized onions. Top with another slice of bread. Spread 1 tablespoon of sage butter on the top piece of bread.
Step 4
Cook sandwich in a panini maker for about 3-5 minutes until golden. Serve warm & enjoy!
