Beet Italian Sausage with Red Cabbage Slaw

4 Martin’s Long Potato Rolls

1 Cup Red Cabbage, shredded

¼ Cup Carrot, shredded

1/8 Cup Granulated Sugar

1 Teaspoon Salt

1/4 Cup Olive Oil

2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

½ Teaspoon Celery Pieces (or celery seed)

Freshly Ground Pepper, to taste

Serves: 4


Step 1

Prepare Red Cabbage Slaw:

  • Whisk together sugar, salt, olive oil, lemon juice and celery.
  • In a small bowl add cabbage, carrots and dressing. Stir until combined.

Step 2

Prepare sausages according to directions on package.

Step 3

Place each sausage into Long Roll and divide red cabbage slaw evenly among sausages.

Step 4

Serve warm.
