Banana Split French Toast Boat

Ingredients


French Toast

1 Pack (12 Rolls) Martin’s Sweet Dinner Potato Rolls

4 Large Eggs

1 Cup Milk

Pinch of Kosher Salt

Cooking Spray or Butter

Banana Split

1 Pint each of Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry Ice Cream, or flavors of choice

Bananas, halved

Strawberry topping

Strawberries or Raspberries, washed, trimmed, and quartered

Caramel Topping

Chocolate Syrup

Whipped Cream

Sprinkles

Cherries


Serves: 4

Directions


Step 1

Whisk together in a large bowl the eggs, milk, and salt. Pour the mixture into a large pie plate for dipping. Set aside.

Step 2

Slice 3 Dinner Rolls in half, while still keeping them connected, and place them face down, spread flat. Do not break the halves apart.

Step 3

Spray a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray (or coat the pan with butter). Place the pan over medium heat. Working with a set of 3 Dinner Rolls at a time, coat evenly into the egg mixture.

Step 4

Place the set of 3 Dinner Rolls into the pan, cut side down. Cook until golden brown, then flip to cook the outside of the roll. Remove and place on a large tray and repeat the process for the remainder of the rolls.

Step 5

To assemble, place the set of 3 Dinner Rolls open on a banana split boat. Add one scoop of each flavor of ice cream on top of the Dinner Rolls. Place the bananas along the base of the ice cream.

Step 6

Top with desired amounts of strawberry topping, caramel topping, strawberries, raspberries, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, sprinkles, and cherries or toppings of your choice.
