4 Thin Beef Sausages

4 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

1 Onion, cut into thin rings


4 Slices Martin’s Old-Fashioned Real Butter Bread (or 4 Martin's Long Potato Rolls)

Tomato Sauce, for serving

Mustard, for serving

Additional Condiments, if desired

Serves: 4


Step 1

Heat skillet to medium-high heat, or preheat grill.

Step 2

Place sausages in skillet or on grill and cook, turning them every 5 minutes until browned. Remove sausages from skillet and set aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in the same skillet. Then, add onions and sauté until golden brown.

Step 4

Spread butter, to taste, on slices of Martin’s Old-Fashioned Real Butter Bread.

Step 5

Place onions in center of bread slice.

Step 6

Split sausage in half and place on top of onions.

Step 7

Add tomato sauce and mustard (plus any other optional toppings) on top.
