Made With
Long Potato RollsIngredients
Marty Dogs
8 Martin’s Long Potato Rolls
8 Hot Dogs
2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
16 Slices Yellow American Cheese
2 Cups Shredded Lettuce
Pickle Chips
White Onion, finely diced
Marty Dog Sauce
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons Dill Pickle Relish
1 Tablespoon Ketchup
1 Teaspoon Yellow Mustard
1 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar or White Distilled Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
Serves: 8
Directions
Step 1
Add all the Marty Dog Sauce ingredients into a small bowl and whisk together to combine thoroughly. Put in refrigerator until ready to use. Note: Recommend making it several hours before serving so it has time to chill in the fridge and allow flavors to combine together.
Step 2
Cook the hot dogs using your favorite method, whether it be on the stove or outdoor grill.
Step 3
While the hot dogs are cooking, start toasting the rolls. Place the rolls onto a baking sheet and broil in the oven just until warmed. Remove the rolls from the oven. While they are still warm, brush the outside of each roll with melted butter and sprinkle on sesame seeds. You may need to pick up the rolls and press into sesame seeds on a pan to help the seeds stick.
Step 4
Place two slices of cheese inside each roll so the corners of the cheese slices lay outside of the roll. Return the rolls to the broiler for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Step 5
Add about a 1/4 cup of shredded lettuce on top of the cheese. Place a grilled hot dog on top of the lettuce. Tuck 3-4 pickle chips down one side of the hot dog. Sprinkle white onion on the other side of the hot dog. Drizzle each hot dog with Marty Dog Sauce.
Step 6
Enjoy!
