Polynesian Burger

1 Pound Lean Ground Beef

1/4 Cup Teriyaki Sauce

4 Slices Canned Pineapple (reserve the juice)

1/4 Cup Pineapple Juice

1 Cup Bell Pepper, diced

4 Slices Provolone Cheese

4 Martin's Big Marty's Rolls, toasted

4 Tablespoons Thousand Island Dressing

Serves: 4


Step 1

Stir together the teriyaki sauce and reserved pineapple juice.

Step 2

Mix together ground beef, 1/4 cup of the pineapple-teriyaki marinade, and diced bell pepper in medium bowl until well blended. Shape into 4 patties.

Step 3

Grill patties over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through. Meanwhile, grill pineapple slices 1 to 2 minutes per side or until golden brown with grill marks. Brush burgers and pineapple slices with additional marinade while cooking.

Step 4

Top burgers with cheese during last 1-2 minutes of cooking and cover until melted.

Step 5

Serve burgers on toasted Big Marty’s Rolls topped with pineapple slices and Thousand Island dressing.
