Made With
Sandwich Potato RollsIngredients
4 Martin's Sandwich Potato Rolls
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Onions, sliced
2 Granny Smith Apples, chopped
1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
2 Pounds Ground Beef
1 Egg
1 Cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1/2 Cup Dijon Mustard
2 Tablespoons Chopped Thyme
Salt and Pepper, to taste
1 Cup Goat Cheese
2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
Arugula
Serves: 4
Directions
Step 1
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add onions and stir occasionally as they begin to caramelize. After about 5 minutes, add apples and nutmeg. Continue cooking for 5 to 7 more minutes, or until onions are caramelized and apples are softened. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix together until fully combined. Use the mixture to make 4 burger patties.
Step 3
Heat a grill to medium-high heat. Place burgers on grill and cook until the inside is cooked to your preference. For rare, cook about 4 to 5 minutes per side, for more well done, 7 to 8 minutes per side.
Step 4
While your burgers are on the grill, mix together goat cheese and mayonnaise for the spread.
Step 5
When burgers are cooked, remove from grill and set aside. Take Martin’s Sandwich Potato Rolls out of the packaging, split in half and heat face-down on the grill for about 1 minute or until golden brown.
Step 6
Remove rolls from grill, and build your burger. Spread goat cheese, top with burger patty, apple and onion mixture and arugula. Serve and enjoy!
