8 slices Martin’s Old-Fashioned Real Butter Bread
2 Eggs
1/3 Cup Milk
1/2 Box Fruity Rice Cereal
2 Tablespoons Butter
For Glaze Topping (optional):
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Tablespoon Milk
Serves: 4
Directions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. On a plate or cookie sheet, pour out a layer of cereal.
Step 2
Heat large skillet over medium heat and melt one tablespoon of butter to coat.
Step 3
Dip each side of each slice of Butter Bread in the egg mixture until coated, but not soaked through.
Step 4
Lightly press each side into the fruity cereal until lightly coated.
Step 5
Fry two slices at a time in the skillet for about 3-5 minutes per side, until cereal is lightly browned and egg is completely cooked.
Step 6
Cook the French toast slices in batches until egg mixture is empty. Additional butter in pan may be needed.
Step 7
Serve warm with sugar glaze drizzle.
