Classic Sloppy Joes

1 lb. ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 can (8-oz.) Signature Select tomato sauce

1/2 cup Signature Kitchen ketchup

1 Tbsp. Signature Select brown sugar

1 tsp. O Organic ground mustard

1 Tbsp. Signature Kitchen white vinegar

1 Tbsp. Signature Kitchen Worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp. Signature Select salt

1/8 tsp. Signature Select pepper

4 Martin's Sandwich Potato Rolls

  desired toppings, for serving (such as pickles, diced onion, jalapeno, or corn chips)

Serves: 4


Step 1

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, combine beef and onion. Cook until the meat is mostly browned, about 5 minutes. Drain fat.

Step 2

Meanwhile, in a small bowl whisk together tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.

Step 3

Pour sauce over drained beef and stir until evenly coated. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Serve on Sandwich Potato Rolls topped with desired toppings.
