Did you know this week is Shark Week?! To help you get in the mood we developed three unique and spirited recipes made with Martin’s Famous Potato Rolls and Bread.
If you’re not aware, Shark Week is a week-long television program that airs back-to-back episodes about all things shark! Millions of people tune in each summer to watch thrilling footage and learn more about these fascinating (and frightening) marine creatures.
We thought we’d join in on the fun by coming up with some festive food creations. Whether you’re into Shark Week or just looking for some deep sea party ideas, these should fit the bill.
So dive into the intrigue and mystery of the “great deep” with these fun shark-themed recipes!
Shark Submarine Sandwich
You’ll be dying to take a bite out of this delicious sub, filled with your favorite cold cut ingredients and shaped into the form of a shark! We customized ours using Martin’s Hoagie Rolls for the body, cheese for the teeth, cucumbers and pickles for the fins, and black olives for the eyes. See what other creative shapes and add-ons you can come up with! Tip: You could even make a “baby shark” or fish shaped sandwich using our Long Potato Rolls or Sandwich Potato Rolls.

Seaweed Dip with Shark Toasts
Don’t worry—the “seaweed” in this dip is actually spinach; and who doesn’t love some creamy, cheesy spinach dip? Apparently marine animals like starfish, dolphins, sharks, and fish are big fans of the stuff (at least in this case)! Use your favorite ocean-themed cookie cutters to create mini Butter Bread toasts to use for dipping. This dish makes a wonderful appetizer for your Shark Week or ocean themed party!

Shark Bites
We can’t forget about dessert! With just five ingredients and some creativity, you can make these yummy ocean scenes on half-sheets of Martin’s Party Potato Rolls, easily split apart into individual portions. All you need is some marshmallows (melted with butter), blue food coloring, shark or fish shaped gummies, and colorful sprinkles or other decorative toppings. The fun part is getting to create your own ocean waves pattern by swirling the food coloring into the marshmallow spread!
