8 Martin’s Sandwich Potato Rolls, split
1-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Pound Ground Italian Sausage
1 Green Bell Pepper, diced
1 Red Bell Pepper, diced
1 Small Yellow Onion, diced
1 Cup Marinara Sauce
3 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
1/4 Cup Butter, melted
1 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Serves: 8
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté ground Italian sausage, peppers, and onions, until sausage is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Remove from heat, drain excess grease, and set aside.
Step 3
Arrange the bottom halves of the Sandwich Potato Rolls in a greased 13×9 baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 4-5 minutes, until lightly toasted.
Step 4
Remove rolls from oven and sprinkle with one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Top with the sausage and pepper mixture.
Step 5
Spread marinara sauce on top then sprinkle with remaining cheese. Place top halves of Sandwich Potato Rolls on top.
Step 6
In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Spread mixture over tops of sandwiches, reserving a small amount for later.
Step 7
Bake, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes or until golden-brown and heated through.
Step 8
Top sandwiches with remaining butter mixture and serve immediately.
