Pumpkin Butter Grilled Cheese
4 Slices Martin’s Maple Brown Sugar Swirl Potato Bread
4 Slices Provolone Cheese
1 Tablespoon Fresh Chives, chopped
4 Tablespoons Pumpkin Butter
2 Tablespoons Butter
Heat panini maker or medium skillet to medium heat.
Spread butter on one side of 4 slices of Martin’s Maple Brown Sugar Swirl Potato Bread.
With the butter side down, top two slices of bread each with one slice of provolone cheese. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of chives over cheese and add a second slice of provolone to each sandwich.
Spread 2 tablespoons of pumpkin butter on each sandwich on top of provolone cheese. Then, top with remaining 2 slices of Martin’s Maple Brown Sugar Swirl Potato Bread, butter side up.
Grill sandwiches on medium heat, about 2 minutes on each side, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Cut each sandwich in half and enjoy warm.
Variation: For a Halloween-themed grilled cheese, using a sharp knife, cut Jack-O-Lantern faces into two slices of the Martin’s Maple Brown Sugar Swirl Potato Bread before starting. Be sure to start grilling with faces down so that the cheese doesn’t melt onto the griddle through the cut design.
