30 Mins

Ingredients

1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/2 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 Egg

1/2 Cup Seltzer Water

1 Cup Vegetable Oil

3-4 Jalapeno Peppers, sliced

1 Pound Ground Chuck, formed into 4 patties

Salt and Pepper, to taste

1 Dash Worcestershire Sauce

4 Slices Pepper Jack Cheese

4 Martin’s Sandwich Potato Rolls

1/4 Tomato, sliced

1/4 Red Onion, thinly sliced

Chipotle Ranch Dressing

Serves: 3

Directions

Step 1

Prepare Deep Fried Jalapenos: Mix together flour, salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, eggs, and seltzer in a medium bowl.

Preheat oil to 365 degrees F in a deep fryer or large pot.

Dip jalapeno slices in the batter, then carefully place into the hot oil. It is best to work in small batches. Fry until the jalapenos float to the surface and are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with remaining jalapeno slices.

Step 2

Heat your grill to medium-high.

Step 3

Season both sides of each burger patty with salt, pepper and a dash of Worcestershire.

Step 4

Grill burgers 4-5 minutes on each side, topping with a slice of cheese for the last minute of cooking.

Step 5

Build the burgers, topping with sliced tomatoes, red onions, fried jalapeno slices, and chipotle ranch dressing.

Step 6

Serve immediately.
