Made With
Sweet Party Potato RollsIngredients
Toasted Bread:
1 pack Martin’s Sweet Party Potato Rolls
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Spiced Apples:
2 Granny Smith Apples, peeled & diced small
2 Tablespoons Butter
3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon Allspice
Salt, to taste
Lemon Cream Cheese:
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1/2 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
Other Toppings:
2 Cups Candied Bacon, chopped
Thyme Sprigs, optional
Serves: 16
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 F and spray baking sheet with oil.
Step 2
Slice each Martin’s Party Potato Roll vertically into 4 slices.
Step 3
Place slices onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 7-10 minutes, until golden brown and crisp around the edges. Meanwhile, make the cream cheese sauce.
Step 4
Add all cream cheese sauce ingredients into a blender and blend until sauce becomes creamy. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Step 5
Once bread slices are toasted, remove from the oven, letting them cool for 1-2 minutes or until they are safe to handle. Meanwhile, sauté apples.
Step 6
In a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat, add butter and heat until melted.
Step 7
Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt. Stir until combined and everything begins to bubble a bit, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 8
Add diced apples and toss until well coated. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until tender and the sauce has thickened. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Step 9
To assemble, generously spread cream cheese sauce unto each slice of bread followed by 1-2 tablespoons of the spiced diced apples and sprinkles of chopped candied bacon. Repeat until all crostini are made. Garnish with thyme leaves, if desired.
