Make it Smile-Worthy

April 4, 2016
1 min. read

April is National Humor Month. To help put a smile on your face, we’re bringing you sandwiches two ways – one classic version to help you reminisce on the “good ol’ times,” and then a fun twist to bring out the kid in you! Take a look through each recipe, then chat with us on social media and let us know which recipe you think is the most “smile-worthy.”

Recipes

Classic BLT // Open-Faced Ladybug BLT

Bacon makes everything delicious – and for some, no sandwich can top the classic BLT. But this fun ladybug version may come close – try it out in your kids’ next lunchbox meal (or your own – we won’t judge)!

Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich // Peanut Butter with Sprinkles

Did you know that peanut butter and banana sandwiches were a favorite of Elvis Presley? If you want to eat like the “King,” try grilling up this delicious sandwich (you can even add bacon if you’d like). Or for a more childlike sandwich, use a cookie cutter on the top bread slice and fill the cut-out shape with colorful sprinkles!

Sandwich on a Stick // Two-Tone Ham and Cheese

Both of these recipes are fun variations of the traditional deli sandwich. Using wooden skewers, build a deconstructed sandwich (er…sandwich-kabob?) that’s perfect for snacking or entertaining! You can also use fun spring cookie cutters to make a two-tone sandwich by swapping regular Potato Bread with Whole Wheat Potato Bread, or vice versa.
