Made With
Butter BreadIngredients
8 Slices Martin's Old-Fashioned Real Butter Bread
3 Cloves Fresh Garlic, very finely minced
4 Tablespoons Butter
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Teaspoons Dried Italian Seasoning
1/4 Teaspoon Onion Salt
1/8 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
3/4 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
2 Cups Jarred Tomato Sauce
Serves: 20
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2
Line a stainless steel baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Step 3
Cut each slice of butter bread into 5 sticks (cut vertically), yielding 40 breadsticks.
Step 4
Place the butter and olive oil into a skillet. Melt the butter over low heat being careful that the butter does not burn. Add in the minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Adjust temperature if needed to prevent the garlic from burning. Turn off the heat. Stir in the salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Step 5
Brush all sides of each breadstick.
Step 6
Place the grated parmesan cheese into a shallow bowl. Dip each breadstick into the cheese, covering all sides. Place the breadsticks onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving 1/2′ space between each.
Step 7
Bake for 8 minutes per side. The breadsticks should be golden and toasted.
Step 8
Warm the tomato sauce in the microwave. Serve in a bowl alongside of the breadsticks for dipping.
