Cheeseburger Stuffing

Ingredients


2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil

2 Medium Yellow Onions, diced

1 Pound Ground Beef

1 Clove of Garlic, minced

1 Teaspoon Salt

1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

1 Teaspoon Sage

2 Cups Beef Broth

2 Packs of Martin's Sweet Dinner Rolls, cubed and toasted (Makes about 12 cups)

2 Roma Tomatoes, sliced for garnish

3 Green Onion Stems, sliced for garnish

1 Cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded

1/4 Cup Burger Sauce


Serves: 8-10

Directions


Step 1

Heat oven to 375°F

Step 2

Prepare Martin’s Sweet Dinner Roll cubes by cutting the sheet of dinner rolls in half horizontally, and then cut each half into 9 individual pieces. Toast the cubes as described in our Homemade Bread Stuffing Cubes recipe. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat cooking oil. Add onions and cook until slightly tender. Add hamburger, garlic, salt, pepper and sage. Brown burger mixture; drain grease.

Step 4

In a large bowl, gently combine beef mixture, beef broth and cubed Martin’s Sweet Dinner Rolls until cubes are covered with mixture but are still in cube form.

Step 5

Put combined mixture into a large baking dish and bake for 30 minutes or top is toasted.

Step 6

Dice Roma tomatoes and green onions while stuffing bakes.

Step 7

Top with shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, tomatoes and burger sauce.

Step 8

Serve warm.
