1 Package of 12 Martin's Dinner Rolls
1 Head Boston Lettuce
4 Plum Tomatoes
1 Pound Bacon
1 Cup Mayonnaise
2 Tsp Freshly Cracked Pepper
1 Large Sweet Onions, thinly sliced
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
Step 1: Prepare Caramelized Onions
In a large skillet, butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the sliced onions. Stir the onions occasionally with a wooden spoon. Continue to cook over medium-high heat until the onions are translucent. Cook for about 20 minutes on medium heat. Or until the onions are soft and nicely golden brown in color. Add the brown sugar, salt and pepper. Season with Worcestershire sauce. Remove from the heat.
Cook bacon via conventional method, in skillet or on griddle, until just done to preferred texture. When cool enough to handle, tear bacon in thirds to fit on the bun.
Slice each tomato into ¼ inch slices. Tear lettuce into 12 pieces large enough to cover one roll each.
Stir the mayonnaise and cracked black pepper together in a small bowl until fully combined.
Cut rolls in half. Assemble the BLTs by layering bacon, caramelized onions, tomato and lettuce on bottom half of each roll. Spread each top bun with the pepper mayonnaise and place on the each slider.
Serve and enjoy!
