Potato BreadIngredients
8 Slices Martin’s Potato Bread
1 lb Ground Beef
1oz Package Taco Seasoning
½ Cup Water
4 Tablespoons Butter, softened
3 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese (room temperature)
Optional Toppings
Sour Cream
Guacamole
Tomatoes
Green Onion
Lettuce
Cilantro
Serves: 4
Directions
Step 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef to skillet and cook until brown. Drain. Add taco seasoning and water. Cook until liquid is reduced in half or less.
Step 2
Heat a griddle to 275 degrees F (or a skillet over medium-low heat). Spread about ½ tablespoon butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the griddle. Top with a layer of shredded cheese, layer of taco beef mixture and another layer of shredded cheese before topping with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
Step 3
Cook sandwiches, in batches if necessary, on griddle about 2-3 minutes each, flipping halfway through. Make sure bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Step 4
Slice in half and serve warm with desired toppings.
